We were appointed by Golding Homes to reimagine disused garage sites in Maidstone as exemplars of affordable, sustainable design.

 

These schemes transform redundant brownfield land into 100% affordable, low-carbon housing that meets Passivhaus standards, setting a new benchmark for small-scale regeneration projects in rural Kent.

Each site incorporate air source heat pumps, solar PV panels and high-performance building envelopes, reducing operational energy and providing year-round thermal comfort for residents.

Each site has been designed to enrich its context, replacing hardstanding with green infrastructure and creating high-quality, energy-efficient homes that are elegant, durable and inherently sustainable.

 

Together, they demonstrate how considered design and technical rigour can transform overlooked spaces into thriving, low-energy neighbourhoods.
